49：16住在山穴中据守山顶的阿，论到你的威吓，你因心中的狂傲自欺。你虽如大鹰高高搭窝，我却从那里拉下你来。这是耶和华说的。
Thy terribleness hath deceived thee； and the pride of thine heart； O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock； that holdest the height of the hill： though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle； I will bring thee down from thence； saith the LORD。
49：17以东必令人惊骇。凡经过的人就受惊骇，又因她一切的灾祸嗤笑。
Also Edom shall be a desolation： every one that goeth by it shall be astonished； and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof。
49：18耶和华说，必无人住在那里，也无人在其中寄居，要像所多玛，蛾摩拉，和邻近的城邑倾覆的时候一样。
As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof； saith the LORD； no man shall abide there； neither shall a son of man dwell in it。
49：19仇敌必像狮子从约旦河边的丛林上来，攻击坚固的居所。转眼之间，我要使以东人逃跑，离开这地。谁蒙拣选，我就派谁治理这地。谁能比我呢。谁能给我定规日期呢。有何牧人能在我们面前站立得住呢？
Behold； he shall e up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the habitation of the strong： but I will suddenly make him run away from her： and who is a chosen man； that I may appoint over her？ for who is like me？ and who will appoint me the time？ and who is that shepherd that will stand before me？
49：20你们要听耶和华攻击以东所说的谋略和他攻击毯螅居民所定的旨意。仇敌定要将他们群众微弱的拉去，定要使他们的居所荒凉。
Therefore hear the counsel of the LORD； that he hath taken against Edom； and his purposes； that he hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman： Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out： surely he shall make their habitations desolate with them。
49：21因他们仆倒的声音，地就震动。人在红海那里必听见呼喊的声音。
The earth is moved at the noise of their fall； at the cry the noise thereof was heard in the Red sea。
49：22仇敌必如大鹰飞起，展开翅膀攻击波斯拉。到那日，以东的勇士心中疼痛如临产的妇人。
Behold； he shall e up and fly as the eagle； and spread his wings over Bozrah： and at that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom be as the heart of a woman in her pangs。
49：23论大马士革。哈马和亚珥拔蒙羞，因他们听见凶恶的信息就消化了。海上有忧愁，不得平静。
Concerning Damascus。 Hamath is confounded； and Arpad： for they have heard evil tidings： they are fainthearted； there is sorrow on the sea； it cannot be quiet。
49：24大马士革发软，转身逃跑。战兢将她捉住。痛苦忧愁将她抓住，如产难的妇人一样。
Damascus is waxed feeble； and turneth herself to flee； and fear hath seized on her： anguish and sorrows have taken her； as a woman in travail。
49：25我所喜乐可称赞的城，为何被撇弃了呢。
How is the city of praise not left； the city of my joy！
49：26她的少年人必仆倒在街上。当那日，一切兵丁必默默无声。这是万军之耶和华说的。
Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets； and all the men of war shall be cut off in that day； saith the LORD of hosts。
49：27我必在大马士革城中使火着起，烧灭便哈达的宫殿。
And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus； and it shall consume the palaces of Benhadad。
49：28论巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒所攻打的基达和夏琐的诸国。耶和华如此说，迦勒底人哪，起来上基达去，毁灭东方人。
Concerning Kedar； and concerning the kingdoms of Hazor； which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon shall smite； thus saith the LORD； Arise ye； go up to Kedar； and spoil the men of the east。
49：29他们的帐棚和羊群都要夺去，将幔子和一切器皿，并骆驼为自己掠去。人向他们喊着说，四围都有惊吓。
Their tents and their flocks shall they take away： they shall take to themselves their curtains； and all their vessels； and their camels； and they shall cry unto them； Fear is on every side。
49：30耶和华说，夏琐的居民哪，要逃奔远方，住在深密处。因为巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒设计谋害你们，起意攻击你们。
Flee； get you far off； dwell deep； O ye inhabitants of Hazor； saith the LORD； for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath taken counsel against you； and hath conceived a purpose against you。
49：31耶和华说，迦勒底人哪，起来。上安逸无虑的居民那里去。他们是无门无闩，独自居住的。
Arise； get you up unto the wealthy nation； that dwelleth without care； saith the LORD； which have neither gates nor bars； which dwell alone。
49：32他们的骆驼必成为掠物。他们众多的牲畜必成为掳物。我必将剃周围头发的人分散四方（方原文作风），使灾殃从四围临到他们。这是耶和华说的。
And their camels shall be a booty； and the multitude of their cattle a spoil： and I will scatter into all winds them that are in the utmost corners； and I will bring their calamity from all sides thereof； saith the LORD。
49：33夏琐必成为野狗的住处，永远凄凉。必无人住在那里，也无人在其中寄居。
And Hazor shall be a dwelling for dragons； and a desolation for ever： there shall no man abide there； nor any son of man dwell in it。
49：34犹大王西底家登基的时候，耶和华论以拦的话临到先知耶利米说，
The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah； saying；
49：35万军之耶和华如此说，我必折断以拦人的弓，就是他们为首的权力。
Thus saith the LORD of hosts； Behold； I will break the bow of Elam； the chief of their might。
49：36我要使四风从天的四方刮来，临到以拦人，将他们分散四方（方原文作风）。这被赶散的人没有一国不到的。
And upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven； and will scatter them toward all those winds； and there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not e。
49：37耶和华说，我必使以拦人在仇敌和寻索其命的人面前惊惶。我也必使灾祸，就是我的烈怒临到他们，又必使刀剑追杀他们，直到将他们灭尽。
For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies； and before them that seek their life： and I will bring evil upon them； even my fierce anger； saith the LORD； and I will send the sword after them； till I have consumed them：
49：38我要在以拦设立我的宝座，从那里除灭君王和首领。这是耶和华说的。
And I will set my throne in Elam； and will destroy from thence the king and the princes； saith the LORD。
49：39到末后，我还要使被掳的以拦人归回。这是耶和华说的。
But it shall e to pass in the latter days； that I will bring again the captivity of Elam； saith the LORD。

50：1耶和华藉先知耶利米论巴比伦和迦勒底人之地所说的话。
The word that the LORD spake against Babylon and against the land of the Chaldeans by Jeremiah the prophet。
50：2你们要在万国中传扬报告，竖立大旗。要报告，不可隐瞒，说，巴比伦被攻取，彼勒蒙羞，米罗达惊惶。巴比伦的神像都蒙羞。她的偶像都惊惶。
Declare ye among the nations； and publish； and set up a standard； publish； and conceal not： say； Babylon is taken； Bel is confounded； Merodach is broken in pieces； her idols are confounded； her images are broken in pieces。
50：3因有一国从北方上来攻击她，使她的地荒凉，无人居住，连人带牲畜都逃走了。
For out of the north there eth up a nation against her； which shall make her land desolate； and none shall dwell therein： they shall remove； they shall depart； both man and beast。
50：4耶和华说，当那日子，那时候，以色列人要和犹大人同来，随走随哭，寻求耶和华他们的神。
In those days； and in that time； saith the LORD； the children of Israel shall e； they and the children of Judah together； going and weeping： they shall go； and seek the LORD their God。
